Digital Development Manager

We are looking for a personable and skilled Front End Web Developer to head up the digital development arm at Blaze Communication. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years industry experience in building and maintaining websites as either a freelancer or for digital agencies.

You should have a strong interest in creating modern, responsive websites either from your own designs or those of designers, and the ability to turn these into custom WordPress themes.

You should have a good understanding of writing themes and functions for WordPress, and an appreciation for creating performant and SEO optimised websites for mobile and desktop.

Some knowledge and experience with backend technologies and services (Apache, .htaccess, PHPMyAdmin) is desirable, although you will have support here where required. You will also be required to have knowledge and experience with DNS administration and SEO best practice (via Google Analytics).

Your main task as Digital Development Manager will consist of working closely with the design studio and with clients in structuring content, wireframing, then coding and deploying functional and accessible websites which help our business clients increase sales and conversions.

You will also be responsible for maintaining our legacy websites that we host for our clients, providing solutions to any ongoing problems that need solving, staying up-to-date on WP security best practice, updating plugins, and helping facilitate a backup procedure for our hosted websites.

Digital marketing account handler

This exciting role will cover work on accounts across our broad spectrum of clients covering many sectors, in London, the home counties but also some across UK & Europe too. The digital marketing account handler’s job combines client liaison and actually being involved hands on with some elements of the work. High performance, professional but also fun. We are happy to see candidates across a wide age range and offer flexible working arrangements. We provide free secure parking and are also very near B Rail.

  • SEO management, create reports & provide feedback/recommendations
  • PPC management, create reports & provide feedback/recommendations
  • Co-ordinate E-mail broadcasts, producing reports re open & click rates and providing feedback to clients & recommendations
  • Back end (CMS) web updates & client liason
  • Social media campaigns managed & reported on, eg Facebook & Google+
  • Act as the fulcrum about which web development projects rotate…you will be the ‘ringmaster’ pulling it all together

Working with our flagship clients, the Account Manager is a key post. You’ll be working with some great brands, producing engaging integrated campaigns and will have have real support from a hands on Account Director and a great Marketing Exec.

We’re looking for a recent marketing graduate for an exciting intern position within our Client Service Team. You’ll report to the Client Service Manager and your core responsibilities will include the following:

Support Working within the Client Service Team

  • Developing Marketing Communications Solutions
  • Sourcing / purchasing goods / materials and supplying quotations to clients as necessary
  • Assisting with email marketing projects and Blaze online stock system
  • Liaising with design studio
  • Answering queries via telephone / e-mail
  • Supporting mailing projects
  • Helping to maintain our and our clients social media presence
  • Overseeing orders ensuring suppliers deliver correctly and on time
  • Trouble shooting where necessary
  • Continuous logging and updating of quotes and projects on excel documents
  • Typing of purchase orders for projects
  • Supporting team with any ad hoc duties as required
